Pakistan cricket selectors have omitted Shan, Shafique, and the spin bowling pair of Noman and Sajid from the national squad ahead of the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.
The selection decisions mark a notable shake-up in Pakistan’s lineup, with both top-order batting options and key specialist spinners missing out on the tour roster.
Key Developments
- Shan and Shafique have been left out of the Pakistan squad designated for the Sri Lanka series.
- Spin bowling partners Noman and Sajid were also excluded from the touring contingent.
- The omissions signal major adjustments to Pakistan’s team composition across both the batting and spin departments.
The exclusions leave Pakistan’s setup reshuffled as the team prepares to face Sri Lanka, setting the stage for alternative players to step into the squad roles vacated by the four players.
