As part of the restored network, the low-cost carrier restarted daily flight operations between New Delhi and Colombo, as well as Bengaluru and Colombo. These regular services are structured to address steady transit demand from tourists, business professionals, and diplomatic travelers moving between the two countries.
Simultaneously, IndiGo reinstated its direct link between Tiruchirappalli Airport in Tamil Nadu and Jaffna International Airport following a three-month operational suspension. The service operates three days a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Under the scheduled timetable, flights depart Trichy at 1:05 p.m. and land in Jaffna at 1:50 p.m., with the return journey taking off from Jaffna at 2:30 p.m. A total of 88 passengers boarded the flight on its first day of resumed service.
